Greatcallie International Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the Love Date app handles your data. This page provides a summary of our data safety practices as required by Google Play and Apple App Store.

1. Data We Collect

The following types of data may be collected by the Love Date app:

Personal Information

  • Name — Used to personalise your profile. Required. Shared with other users.
  • Email Address — Used for account authentication and support. Required. Not shared with other users.
  • Date of Birth — Used to verify age (18+) and for matching. Required. Only your age is shown to others.
  • Gender & Preferences — Used for matching. Required. Shown on your profile.
  • Photos — Used to populate your profile. Optional. Visible to other users.
  • Biography & Profile Details — Values, life goals, communication style, and other profile fields. Optional. Shown on your profile.
  • Voice Recordings — Voice introduction for your profile. Optional. Audible to matched users.

Messages & Communications

  • Chat Messages — Messages exchanged between matched users. Stored securely and only accessible to the conversation participants.

Location

  • Approximate Location — Used to suggest nearby matches. Collected via IP address or with your explicit permission from device GPS. Optional.

Device & App Activity

  • Device Identifiers — Device type, OS version, and unique identifiers. Collected for app stability and fraud prevention.
  • App Activity — Features used, swipes, matches, and time in app. Used to improve the Service.
  • Crash Logs — Diagnostic data collected when the app crashes. Used for bug fixing.

Financial Information

  • Purchase History — Records of in-app purchases for premium features. Payment card details are handled directly by Google Play / Apple App Store and are never stored by us.

2. Data Shared with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with the following categories of third parties:

  • Firebase / Google — Authentication, real-time database, push notifications, and analytics. Data processed under Google's privacy policies.
  • Google Cloud — Secure cloud hosting for backend services and media storage.
  • Analytics Services — Aggregated, anonymised usage analytics to improve the app experience.
  • Law Enforcement — We may disclose data when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

All third-party service providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.

3. Security Practices

  • All data is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS encryption.
  • Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.
  • We use Firebase Authentication to manage secure sign-in and protect accounts.
  • We regularly review our security practices and update them as needed.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app:

  1. Open the Love Date app
  2. Go to Profile → Settings
  3. Scroll to Danger Zone → Delete Account
  4. Confirm deletion by typing DELETE

Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Children's Safety

Love Date is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately delete their account and associated data.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
